We started out the evening with appetizers, hors d'oeuvres, and an hour of great fellowship. After the Pledge and Invocation, Joseph's Riverport Barbecue had a spread of food ready for the club. When the main course was over, everyone was treated to the desserts furnished by the Lions and their spouses.

After the meal, the awards and installation ceremony got started with President Mike Wood presenting the attendence awards, the "We Serve" awards, the officer awards, and the Lion of the Year award.

Winding down the evening

After everything was over, there was a lot of hand-shaking and congratulating, but then it got down to much more serious business... "Is there any barbecue left? Where did all the stuffed jalapenos go? Does anyone mind if I take the rest of that pie home?"
